Programme for the Environment and Climate Action (LIFE)
LIFE Project Grants
2022
Created in 1992, the LIFE programme is THE European Union’s funding programme for the environment and climate action.
This instrument, which is open to private and public actors, has funded more than 5,500 projects in areas such as the protection of biodiversity, the improvement of water or air quality, waste management and the energy transition. Find the different projects funded in the brand new database right here.
For the new programming period 2021-2027, the LIFE programme has been considerably strengthened to meet the targets set by the European Union towards a climate-neutral economy by 2050.

First call for project proposals
INTERREG EUROPE
2022
This is a call for proposals for interregional cooperation projects. These projects gather policy-relevant organisations from different countries in Europe working together on a common regional development issue. The first three years of the projects (‘core phase’) are dedicated to exchange and transfer of experience among the participating partners in order to improve the policy instruments addressed by the project. In the fourth and last year (‘follow-up phase’), the regions mainly focus on monitoring the results and impact of the cooperation.
Deadline for the submission of applications:
31st May 2022
